Stabbing Suspect's Body Found in Delaware Creek

Milford Police say the body of a man suspected of stabbing two women and jumping into Appoquinimink Creek while fleeing police was recovered.

Detective Dwight Young says divers with Delaware State Police retrieved the body of 37-year-old Calvin King Tuesday afternoon east of a bridge over the creek.

Police responding to a report of a domestic dispute went to the Mispillion Apartments early Monday and found a woman and her adult daughter lying outside.

Authorities say the younger woman and King had argued and King stabbed her in the head and wrists. Investigators say the woman's mother went to her aid, and King stabbed her in the chest.

Young says King sped away and slammed into a concrete barrier near the creek. Investigators say King then jumped into the creek.
