Stabbing Outside Retirement Community

An 18-year-old suspect turns herself into police on Thursday. Police are still looking for 2 other suspects

A young man who works in dining services at Rydal Park in the Jenkintown section of Abington Township, was stabbed in the parking lot, after leaving work around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say the 25-year old employee was getting a ride home from another worker when a man came up and tapped on the car window. When the victim got out of the car, a fight broke out.

Another man and a woman jumped in on the fight.

The victim was stabbed multiple times, in the chest, back and abdomen, according to police.

The suspects fled from the scene, leaving the victim lying in the parking lot.

The young victim remains at Abington Memorial Hospital, as of Thursday night.

Authorities believe the fight was a result of a dispute the victim had with another employee at work.

18-year-old Shayna McCrae, of Philadelphia, turned herself into Abington police early Thursday morning. McCrae was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and related charges. She will have a preliminary hearing on February 27.

Police are still searching for the two other suspects involved in the attack.
