Special Needs Girl Scouts Given a Chance

A Coatesville Girl Scout troop is offering opportunities to girls that might otherwise not get the chance to be a scout.

Brownie Troop 497 is one of the first Girl Scout troops to be housed at a special needs school. The troop serves girls at the Child and Career Development Center on E. Lincoln Highway.

Launched last year, the troop began their first cookie sale in January to raise money for programming for the girls.
