Son Threatens to Kill Mom Over Cigarettes

Police say that a man threatened to end his mom's life when she refused to purchase cigarettes for him on Saturday morning, according to the Morning Call. He also threatened to burn down his family's Lehigh County home when his father turned off a car radio.

The Morning Call reports that the threats came when allegedly drunk 25-year-old, Todd Zellner, asked his mom to go out and get him cigarettes. When she refused, she claims he told her he would kill her.

The second threat, in which he told his father he would burn down the house, came soon after Zellner and his father went back and forth turning a car radio on and off, according to the paper.

Zellner, who was released on bail, is facing harrassment and threat charges.
