Soldier From NJ Killed in Afghanistan

Corma was a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point

A young soldier from South Jersey was killed while fighting in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

First Lieutenant Salvatore Corma of Wenonah died Thursday when insurgents attacked his unit using improvised explosive devices.

The 24-year-old was a 2008 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Corma was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
