Snow Hits Mainly Delaware, South Jersey

Snow blanketed parts of our area Thursday morning creating some slick road conditions as drivers headed to work.

A mix of rain and snow hit parts of the Philadelphia area but mainly impacted south and east of the city. The system moved into Delaware and New Jersey before daybreak Thursday lasted through most of the morning.

While Philadelphia didn't see much accumulation, freezing temperatures could lead to dangerous road conditions.

"Temperatures will be well below freezing," Glenn said. "So the snow could stick if it comes down heavy, even for a short time."

By late morning, the snow began to move out of the region after dropping up to 6 inches in parts of Delaware and more than 4 inches in South Jersey.

Temperatures will only reach a high of 28 Thursday and will remain in the high 20s Friday. Temperatures will then be in the single digits to start the weekend.
