It was a messy Wednesday as light snow fell across much of the region by Thursday morning the snow moved out but some slick spots remained on area roads.
A Winter Weather Advisory was issued Wednesday for Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties in Pennsylvania; Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem Counties in New Jersey; and New Castle County in Delaware.
The peak of the storm came around rush hour. While some snow stuck to grassy surfaces, most of it melted as it fell, leading to wet roads. It ended before midnight.
Areas under the Advisory saw 1 to 2 inches while areas not under the Advisory saw a small, slushy accumulation of less than an inch. Central and Southern Delaware and Southeast New Jersey saw mostly rain.
Despite the snow ending and partial clearing throughout the night, a combination of high humidity and below freezing temperatures could lead to some icy spots on the road overnight into Thursday morning. Most of Thursday will be nice and sunny however with a high of 48.
