Man Shot Over Snow Blower: Police

A northeastern Pennsylvania man has been formally arraigned in a shooting death that authorities said stemmed from a fight over a snow blower.

Thirty-nine-year-old Brian Pavia of Plains Township entered a not guilty plea to a criminal homicide charge Thursday in Luzerne County Court.

Defense attorneys have said their client acted in self-defense after being punched in the face by 38-year-old John Dulsky on Dec. 17.

Authorities said the men had a history of disputes and had been contracted by a law office to do work at the Forty Fort building.

Prosecutors have said the victim's gunshot wounds to the neck and lower back will cast doubt on any contention of self-defense.
