Employee, 2 Others Charged in Pennsylvania Smartphone Store Burglary

An employee and two other men have been jailed on charges they stole more than 90 smartphones worth more than $61,000 from a Sprint store in a Pittsburgh-area mall.

Twenty-three-year-old Alan Walls and 19-year-old DeCarlos Smith, both of Penn Hills, were charged along with 22-year-old Dominique Walls, of Detroit, in Monday night's burglary at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills.

Frazer Township police say the men broke into the store about 11:15 p.m. Monday. They were arraigned early Wednesday on burglary and other charges and jailed after failing to post bond.

Police said a store manager recognized Alan Walls from his walk and mannerisms caught on surveillance video, even though the suspects covered their faces.

Online court records don't list attorneys for the men who face a preliminary hearing June 8.
