Federal Aviation Administration inspectors arrived on the scene Friday of a banner plane crash at the Jersey Shore.

The small plane crashed into the trees near Route 47 in Green Creek, Middle Township, after missing the runway late Thursday afternoon.

The pilot, identified by police as Jacob Lewis, had to be pulled out of the tree. He was not hurt.

The National Transportation Safety Board will be responsible for conducting the accident investigation. As of early Friday, the plane is still stuck in the tree.
