A woman was hurt after being shot while looking out her bedroom window, according to New Castle County Police.

Police say that around 4:15 a.m. Sunday, the 47-year-old victim was woken up by noises outside her home. When she got up from bed and went to look out the window, she was shot in the arm and leg.

"I try to get up from bed see flash of light and I got shot," the victim said.

Her two children were sleeping on a mattress next to her. They weren't injured in the incident.

The victim was treated at Christiana Hospital and released.

Authorities are searching for four suspects they say were involved in the shooting. Three of the suspects are described as white males. The fourth is unknown.

Police describe the getaway vehicle as a silver or gray four-door Honda.

Authorities do not believe the victim or her family were the intended targets.
