Philadelphia 76ers Name CEO for eSports Franchise

The Philadelphia 76ers have named gaming industry veteran Jonathan Kemp as CEO of Team Dignitas, the eSports franchise acquired by the Sixers last month.

Kemp’s background includes serving as chief operating officer of game publisher Eidos, where he oversaw launches supporting popular games including Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Hitman. He also served as the International Olympic Committee’s interactive entertainment partner and licensee for the London 2012 Olympics Games. More recently Kemp was an executive with marketing agency Epsilon, supervising customer acquisition and retention for major international brands including Jaguar Land Rover and fan engagement for leading sports teams including Wasps Rugby Football Club.

“It is my goal to ensure that we continue to field winning teams and that we work closely with the passionate Team Dignitas fans,” said Kemp.
