Single Mom Who Lost Job Jailed in Bomb Threat Bank Heist

A single mother who told police she recently lost her job has been jailed on charges she tried to rob $40,000 from a bank Pittsburgh-area by claiming to have a bomb in her car at a drive-thru teller window.

Online court records don't list an attorney for 33-year-old Brandy Greulich, of Pittsburgh, who remained jailed Wednesday on charges stemming from the robbery attempt at a PNC Bank branch in Bellevue about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say Greulich pulled up and handed the teller a note claiming she had a bomb in her car, and was being forced to rob the bank by others who were somehow watching the transaction and threatening to kill her and her child if she didn't comply.

Police say the bomb threat was a hoax.
