Toms River Police Units found a broken window, an open cash register, the alarm ripped off the wall, and a bloody apron near the broken window after responding to a burglary alarm at the Shut Up and Eat Restaurant located at 804 Main Street on October 7.
An investigation was conducted by the Toms River Police Department Detective Bureau Burglary Task Force and resulted in the arrest of Lawrence Deluise, 47.
Forensic and video evidence obtained during the investigation linked Deluise to other burglaries in the area, including All Star Bagel on Oct. 5, Schiano's Pizza on Sept. 18 and Oct. 5, an AT&T store on Sept. 28 and the Blue Fountain Restaurant on Sept. 15
Deluise is charged with burglary, criminal mischief and other related offenses. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail in the Ocean County Jail.
