Showtime Documentary on Allen Iverson Set To Premiere May 16th

The Showtime Documentary trailer for Allen Iverson hit the Internet this past weekend and has people talking.

Iverson, who was one of the best Philadelphia 76ers of all time and arguably one of the greatest shooting guards in the NBA, has been through a lot of highs and lows.

The documentary details some of his all-time highs and lows, not only during his NBA career but his life — from being arrested, becoming rookie of the year, winning the league's most valuable player and taking his 00-01’ team to the NBA Finals.

"I wish it didn’t have to be like that, to have to go through the things I went through, but I can’t cry about that, this is what it is," Iverson explains in the trailer.

The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2014 and debuts on Showtime May 16.

Directed by Zatella Beatty, the documentary took 7 years to complete. Iverson received a good review in Sports Illustrated.
