Upper Darby Police are searching for an alleged shoplifter who they say escaped from security by wiggling out of her shirt and running through the store while topless.

It happened Saturday shortly before 1 p.m. at the Upper Darby Pathmark on 69th Street near Patterson Avenue. Aishana Clayton, 26, was caught on surveillance video stealing a package of Pampers diapers, according to investigators. Police say security guards captured Clayton and took her to a store security office. While inside, Clayton allegedly began to attack a 47-year-old female guard in order to escape, punching, biting and scratching her in the process.

When the guard grabbed on to Clayton’s shirt, police say she wiggled her way out of the shirt and ran through the store and into the parking lot while topless. She managed to escape authorities.

“Her breasts were swinging as she ran to the car,” said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood to the Daily News.

Police say they found Clayton’s vehicle, an older-model Buick, abandoned on Wiltshire Road.

Chitwood tells the Daily News Clayton has four prior convictions for retail theft as well as arrests for aggravated assault and attempted murder.

If you have any information on Clayton’s whereabouts, please call Upper Darby Police at 610-734-7693.
