    A driver struck and killed a shoplifting suspect trying to flee a South Jersey outlet mall.

    A Chevrolet Blazer struck and killed Donte Bryson, of Sicklerville, on Friday afternoon along Route 42 in Gloucester Township, New Jersey State Police said.

    Bryson, 25, was running from security guards from the popular Gloucester Premium Outlets when he ran into the southbound lanes and was hit by the SUV, police said.

    The driver of the Blazer wasn't hurt in the crash and cooperated with investigators.

    Bryson was suspected of shoplifting by the security guards, police said.

    The incident remained under investigation over the weekend.
