Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and the residents of a South Philadelphia home fixing their damaged exterior.

Authorities tell NBC10 that a 29-year-old man was ambushed by several men on 22nd and Snyder Avenue around 9 p.m. Thursday. They say 28 shots were fired, eight of them hit the victim.

Several homes on the block were hit by bullets and one home was hit by the victim's car which continued to move after he'd been shot.
