Shooting Prompts “Restricted Access” at Lehigh Court

Victim has not been found, according to police

Access to the Lehigh Valley Courthouse was restricted for a short time Tuesday after authorities recieved reports of shots fired nearby.

Allentown Police say they are investigating the area of 4th and Hamilton Streets after they received calls about shots being fired.

That intersection is along the southwest corner of the courthouse, police say.

No victim was found at the scene, but the courthouse began to operate under restricted access as a precaution, officials say.

While the investigation is ongoing, officials believe the alleged shooting is unrelated to anything going on inside the courthouse.
