Shooter Blames Insults in Killing of Pennsylvania Man

State police say a western Pennsylvania man shot another man in his sleep, apparently because the victim repeatedly insulted the suspect's brother.

Troopers say 61-year-old David Yingling told them he killed Ellwood Skillman because Yingling "was tired of him calling my brother a retard.''

Yingling, who doesn't have an attorney, was jailed Friday in Indiana County on a charge of criminal homicide. Police say the killing occurred Monday but wasn't discovered until Thursday.

That's when a Cherry Tree police officer working security at a high school was tipped off about the killing at Yingling's Montgomery Township home. That's about 70 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

Troopers found Skillman dead in an upstairs bedroom and Yingling told them he "had no idea what to do with the body.''
