Ship Bottom Homicide Under Investigation

Ocean County Prosecutor says a 63-year-old man is accused of intentionally hitting a 73-year-old man with his vehicle

James Hunsinger, 73, died Wednesday night at Atlantic City Medical Center after being hit by a vehicle on West 7th Street in Ship Bottom. In a statement released by Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford, a man has been charged with murder in connection with Hunsinger's death.

Terrence O'Brien,63, who lives on West 7th Street in Ship Bottom, is accused of intentionally hitting the 73-year-old man. Authorities say they found Hunsinger lying in a driveway with serious injuries just after 7:00 p.m Wednesday. He died at the hospital a few hours later.

Police are still investigating. There is no word on a motive.

Bail for O'Brien has been set for $750,000.
