Sharp-Dressed Man Robs Haverford Bank

The Lower Merion Township Police Department and the FBI are looking for a suspect who robbed a Wachovia Bank branch in Haverford on Friday.

At about 2:11 p.m., a man in a suit and painter's mask brandishing a gun entered the Wachovia location at 402 West Lancaster Avenue. He demanded money. The subject fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last spotted heading south across a field on the north side of Harverford College.

The suspect is a black man in his mid- to late-30s. He is approximately 6'3" and carried a silver semi-automatic handgun. He was wearing a dark dress suit with a light blue dress shirt and print tie. He also wore dark sunglasses, a dark knit ski cap, light gloves and a white painter's mask.

He is armed and considered dangerous.
