Reported Sex Assaults Rock Princeton Campus

Students at Princeton University in New Jersey are reeling following three reported sex assaults on campus.

All three sex assault were reported to authorities at the Ivy League school this past weekend as students prepared to head home for the holidays, said police.

Two of the alleged assaults happened along Prospect Avenue, home to the school's "Eating Clubs." One student was fondled at one of the clubs last Friday, another within the last month, according to reports.

A third student also filed a report last weekend claiming she was sexually assaulted while incapacitated during the 2012-2013 school year.

Before the assault claims were made Saturday and Sunday, Princeton had a total of two sex assault claims for the year, according to school officials.

"You wouldn't think that stuff like that would ever happen here," said said research assistant Damaris Graeupner.

The reported sex assaults come a little more than a month after Princeton agreed to review its handling of sexual assault cases over the last three years after the government determined it failed to respond quickly enough to complaints of sexual violence.
