Selena Gomez Cancels Show at Del. State Fair

Allstar Weekend will perform a free concert in her place

Disney starlete Selena Gomez canceled her Delaware State Fair show on Wednesday, July 28 due to strained vocal chords, Access Hollywood reported.

Allstar Weekend will perform (for free!) instead.

“I am extremely disappointed to cancel these shows.  My fans mean the world to me and I was so excited to perform for them,” said Gomez, the star of Disney Channel's “Wizards of Waverly Place.”

Delaware State Fair officials said her show would not be able to be rescheduled by the end of the fair.

Concertgoers who bought their tickets directly from the Delaware State Fair will receive full refunds.

If you are planning to see the teen star perform at Musikfest, don’t start panicking -- yet.

So far, ArtsQuest hasn’t heard anything from the Gomez camp that says otherwise, said Curt Mosel, ArtsQuest Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

Gomez is still scheduled to perform to a sold out show in Bethlehem, PA on August 14.

Gomez also had to cancel her appearance at the Ohio State Fair, which will be rescheduled for sometime in November, reported Access Hollywood.
