One eastbound and one westbound lane of Interstate 76 between South Street and University Avenue will be closed until Sunday for bridge deck repair and concrete resurfacing.

One lane will still get by in either direction.

PennDot says that to avoid delays, residents should use SEPTA or take alternate routes.

Crews are working to repair and resurface a 60-foot-long section of the structure that carries I-76 over the Schuylkill River.
