A body recovered from the Schuylkill River in West Norriton was identified Monday.
County medical examiner Walter Hofman identified the dead woman as Janice Rubendall, 25. The cause and manner of death were pending.
Lower Providence Police Chief Francis “Bud” Carroll told the Times Herald of Norristown that police responded around 3:30 p.m. Sunday and that Rubendall's body was recovered from a riverbank.
Rubendall, a Marine Corps veteran from Lower Providence, was last seen in early January, according to Patch.com.
She was identified by her tattoos, the Times Herald reports.
