School Meets With Duct-Taped Player's Attorney

The parents of an autistic high school soccer player and their attorney have met with western Pennsylvania school officials about a prank in which the boy was duct-taped to a goal post earlier this month.

Attorney Phil DiLucente says the parents of 16-year-old Austin Babinsack don't want to see police file juvenile court charges against the two upper classmen involved provided they apologize and perform some community service and autism awareness that must still be ironed out.

The district has also agreed to intervene and prevent any more social media bullying that Austin has allegedly endured since his parents went public with the alleged hazing on Oct. 5.

Officials with the Highlands School District, about 20 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, have yet to comment on the Monday morning meeting.
