Man With Schizophrenia Found OK

Police say they've located missing man

UPDATE: aroud 11:10 a.m. Monday Philadelphia Police reported that Ricky Warren was found and he is OK.


Philadelphia Police sent out a press release Monday morning asking for the public’s help to help track down a man with schizophrenia and his caretaker who went missing from a North Philadelphia group home May 24.

Ricky Warren, 56, was last seen April 17 when he was dropped off at the group home where he was living on the 4800 block of N 13th Street, police said.

His brother was trying to reach Warren multiple times before going to the group home and finding Warren’s residence that he shared with his caretaker Sandra Choates vacant on May 24, according to police.

Warren, who is schizophrenic, is described as a thin white man, about 120 pounds, with short, sandy blond hair who was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white jacket and white sneakers.

Anyone with knowledge of where Warren or Choates could be is asked to contact Philadelphia Police Northwest Detectives at 215-686-3353/54.
