Philadelphia-based coffee company Saxbys has reopened its café on Temple University's campus with a Tyler School of Art twist after a summer-long facelift, and it plans to renovate its flagship café later this year.
Saxbys Coffee earlier this year closed its Temple café on Liacouras Walk for the summer for a renovation, which it has completed. The café reopened on Monday, coinciding with the release of the company's new pumpkin spice cold brew.
The Temple café — which opened about eight years ago — is a complete redesign of the space, one that's more line with the renovations that took place at the company's 30th Street Station and University City locations. The square footage remained the same.
Eimer Design is the architectural firm behind the redesigns.
At Temple, Saxbys is working to cultivate Tyler School of Art students by featuring art from two students, one of which includes a mural on the wall.
