Robber Steals $2,000 from Delaware County Bank: Police

A man claimed to be armed with a gun Friday afternoon when he passed a demand note to a Delaware County bank teller during a robbery that netted him more than $2,000, according to investigators.

The suspect entered a Santander Bank branch located at 115 Chester Ave. in Yeadon, Pennsylvania at 1:30 p.m. and passed the note -- stating he had a weapon and wanted all $100 bills -- to the employee as other customers stood nearby, the surveillance video shows.

The unidentified, bearded man fled the scene on foot with the stolen cash, investigators said.

The suspect was wearing a gray, hooded jacket, blue jeans, brown work boots and a Nike blue baseball hat, according to officials.

He appears to be about 5-feet 8-inches tall and 165 pounds, according to police.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect's identity is urged to contact the Yeadon Police Department.
