Sandusky Petitions to See His Grandchildren

The petition will also allow Sandusky to call, text or Skype with the grandchildren.

Jerry Sandusky, is seeking a change in his bail that will allow him to visit his grandchildren.

The motion, filed last Friday, seeks permission for Sandusky to visit with his grandchildren in his home with at least one parent to supervise, according to the NY Post.

The request comes nearly two months after Sandusky posted bail on December 8 that confined him to house arrest. A condition of the bail restricted Sandusky from having any contact with minors, including family members.

Sandusky has 11 grandchildren under the age of 18 with one more on the way, reports NY Post.

Joseph Amendola, Sandusky’s attorney, said both Jerry and his grandchildren would very much like to see each other, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The motion also requests that Sandusky be allowed to call, text and Skype with his grandchildren, to have friends visit at his home and to be allowed to travel to work with his attorney and investigators on his defense case.

The hearing is scheduled for the February 10 at the Centre County Courthouse.

The attorney General’s office said they will  “oppose any effort to reduce or relax the bail restrictions that have been placed on Mr. Sandusky,” according to an email from Linda Kelly, an AG spokesperson to the NY Post.

The ex-Penn State football coach faces over 50 criminal counts for the sexual abuse of 10 boys over a span of 15 years.
