A woman and her two kids narrowly escaped being hit by a train early this morning.
Police in Scranton, Pa. say a woman and two children managed to escape a sport-utility vehicle just before it was hit by on oncoming train.
WNEP-TV reports the vehicle had flipped off the North Scranton Expressway and landed on the tracks around 1 a.m. Wednesday. Police say a train was approaching at the time, but that all three made it out shortly before impact.
Police say the woman and the children were taken to the hospital to be checked out, but are all OK.
It wasn't immediately clear what led the vehicle to flip onto the tracks.
