SEPTA's Airport Line Running Shuttles Due to Wire Problems

Travelers heading to Philadelphia International Airport via SEPTA's regional rail lines Wednesday night will want to give themselves some extra time.

Wire problems on the Airport Line are forcing the transit authority to stop trains at the Eastwick station near the airport. Passengers will then be loaded onto shuttle buses to complete their trip, officials said. The reverse will apply for trips into Center City.

SEPTA is also cutting back the number of trips to and from the airport to every hour starting at 8 p.m. Trains usually run every 30 minutes on the Airport line, according to published schedules.

The transit authority has not said when the issue may be resolved.
