SEPTA temporarily suspended all inbound regional rail trains (trains going into the city) Friday afternoon.

The melee began at 1 pm on Friday, with SEPTA stacking up trains in the Center City area.

The transit authority suspended service so that trains would be available to take parade goers out of Center City following the celebration.

Regular service was restored at 2:15 pm Friday.

The Broad Street Subway, Market-Frankford and Subway-Surface lines were not affected.
