SEPTA Steps Up Service for Busy Sports Weekend

The Phillies, Flyers and Sixers all play this weekend

    SEPTA announces they will add extra runs this weekend to accommodate fans attending several big games in South Philadelphia.

    That starts with extra service for tonight, as the Phillies take on the Blue Jays at 7:05 in an on-deck series contest at Citizens Bank Park. SEPTA will run sports express trains on the Broad Street Line every 10 minutes, starting at 6:08 p.m.

    Here are the extra scheduled runs for Saturday, when the Phillies, Flyers and Sixers all compete:

    • Flyers vs. Bruins, 1 p.m., Wells Fargo Center: Two extra express trips at 11:48 a.m. and 11:58 a.m.
    • Phillies vs. Blue Jays, 1:05 p.m., Citizens Bank Park: Three additional express trips at 12:08 p.m., 12:18 p.m. and 12:28 p.m.
    • Sixers vs. Bobcats, 8 p.m., Wells Fargo Center: Two extra local trips at 6:18 p.m. and 6:28 p.m.

    When the Flyers play the Capitals at 6 p.m. on Sunday, extra runs are scheduled for 4:58 p.m. and 5:08 p.m.
