SEPTA suspended all Center City Regional Rail service for almost an hour during the Friday morning rush due to a trash fire under a train platform.
The underground blaze at Suburban Station occurred just after 6 a.m., SEPTA said.
SEPTA stopped all service between Jefferson and 30th Street stations around 6:30.
“Expect delays until further notice,” the agency said.
The fire was under control by 6:40 a.m., the Philadelphia Fire Department said.

There were no reports of injuries.
SEPTA resumed all service with some residual delays just before 7 a.m.
During the stoppage, SEPTA urged passengers to board the Market-Frankford Line at 30th Street or 11th and Market to access Center City at the 15th Street Stop.
