Rude Awakening for Car Owners in Bucks Co.

The owners of more than a dozen vehicles in Perkasie, Pa. woke up Tuesday morning to find their tires slashed or punctured.

Vandals hit cars on several blocks including 4th Street, Arch Street and Race Street, according to Perkasie Borough Police.

23 tires were slashed, said the Police Chief.

Damage is estimated at about  $12,000.

The vandalism left many people stranded and unable to get to work. Some car owners had to have their vehicles towed for repairs, authorities said.

Detectives put letters on doors alerting residents and seeking their help to catch the vandals.
