Boy, 6, Dies in Rollover Crash on Pa. Interstate

State police investigated a violent, rollover crash that killed a 6-year-old boy on Interstate 70 in western Pennsylvania.

Troopers from Washington, Pennsylvania say the Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 23-year-old Crystal Lashea Rush, of West Finley, veered out of the westbound lanes into the median, where the vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest nearly 350 feet away. That happened about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Buffalo Township, Washington County.

Police say Rush and the little boy, Dominic Rush, weren't wearing seatbelts and were thrown from the vehicle, which came to rest on top of the boy.

Witnesses moved the vehicle to get to the boy, who was nonetheless pronounced dead at the scene.

Crystal Rush was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with unspecified injuries.
