Roommates on Trial for Beating Death

The two men accused of killing ex-roommate Toby Gale Jr. will stand trial in Delaware County.

Two men accused of killing a former roommate last year are on trial in suburban Philadelphia.

Twenty-two-year-old Brian Anderson and 21-year-old Donier White are each charged with first- and third-degree murder in the April 2011 death of 19-year-old Tony Gale Jr.

A Chester city worker on Monday described finding Gale's body wrapped in plastic bag in an empty lot near the foot of the Commodore Barry Bridge. Gale had previously lived with Anderson and White.

Prosecutors say Anderson told investigators he killed Gale with a hammer and White confessed to helping dispose of the body.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports the worker who found Gale's body said he didn't recall seeing two men near where he found the body, although that was at odds with an earlier statement.
