Police are searching for two men who they believe robbed a vending company at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts on Friday.
The incident happened just before 1 p.m. Police say the two men, one armed with a silver gun, walked through a hole in a fence off of Georges Lane.
They then allegedly broke into an on site catering facility at the Center by entering through an unlocked backdoor. Police say they then approached an accountant who was counting money for a vending operation at the center owned by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.
“He was tied up with ties behind his back and his legs were tied together,” said Philadelphia Police Lieutenant John Walker. “Other than that they did not harm him.”
The men allegedly stole around $120,000 out of a safe, placed the money in a duffel bag and fled the scene.
“We believe they jumped over the fence into Georges Lane and got into a dark-colored vehicle which fled the area at a high rate of speed,” said Walker.
Police say that the suspects pulled off the robbery in less than 5 minutes.

“These guys were pretty quick so we believe they knew the operation,” said Walker.
Police are currently interviewing employees at the vending company to see if the crime was an inside job.
The two men are described as dark-skinned black males in their 20s, both standing at 6-feet. Police say the first suspect was wearing a blue scarf over his face while the second was wearing a white scarf on his face.
Investigators say that the men may have been driving a blue dodge caravan though this is unconfirmed.
