Robber Targets Philly Bank: Cops

Police say the man ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Philadelphia bank.

It happened Saturday shortly after 1:45 p.m. at the Citizens Bank located inside a supermarket on the 2100 block of Cottman Avenue. Police say a man entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to the teller. The man then fled the area after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police describe the suspect as a medium-built white male in his early 20’s, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-9 with close-cropped, sandy brown hair and scruffy facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, according to investigators.
