A man is in custody after police say he robbed two local banks on Monday.

Robber Targets 2 Banks in 1 Day: Cops

Police say the first robbery happened at the PNC Bank on 1000 East Airy Street while the second happened at the Sovereign Bank on 6800 Torresdale Avenue.

A man is in custody after police say he robbed two local banks on Monday. 

Police say the first robbery happened at the PNC Bank on 1000 East Airy Street while the second happened at the Sovereign Bank on 6800 Torresdale Avenue. Investigators say the robber gave a point of demand note and stole an undisclosed amount of money in both robberies.

The suspect was later found and apprehended on 2800 Hellerman Street, according to police. They also say they recovered the stolen money inside the suspect's car.
