A man who escaped a robber was shot in the back as he attempted to flee near Wynnefield Heights.
Early Sunday morning, a 27-year-old man tried to run when another man attempted to rob him with a gun. At 1:37 a.m., the robber shot the man as he fled.
The incident took place near Sable's Showbar, an adult nightclub, after the victim left the bar to use his cell phone. The shooting victim is in critical but stable condition.
Police are still searching for the suspect, described as black, of slim build, 5'8", and wearing an orange bandana over his face.
