Gunman Robs Man in Rittenhouse Garage

For the second time in a week, an armed suspect tried to rob someone in a Center City parking garage.

This time the gunman made off with money after approaching a man in a garage along the 2000 block of Ranstead Street in the city's posh Rittenhouse neighborhood.

Surveillance video released by police shows the moments after the Aug. 21 attack.

According to police, the unknown suspect pulled out a gun and told the 47-year-old victim, “give me your cash.”

The victim handed over $40 cash and a credit card.

Surveillance cameras captured the man a short time later entering a nearby store and using the credit card at an ATM, police said.

The suspect fled in a maroon Chevrolet Avalanche, according to police.

Earlier this week, police released surveillance video of a Philadelphia parking attendant ducking for cover after a trio of armed men tried to robbed him while parking cars in the Logan Circle section of the city.

Police mentioned no connection between the attacks.
