Revel Casino Hotel is laying off 115 seasonal workers as it tries to cut expenses and become profitable in Atlantic City's casino market.
A casino spokeswoman tells The Associated Press the cuts were announced to employees Thursday morning.
It was Revel's second major layoff this year. In April, the casino cut 83 jobs.
Revel emerged from bankruptcy protection in May with less debt and new owners.
The Revel layoffs come on the same day that the two Trump casinos announced 200 layoffs.
Trump Entertainment Resorts CEO Robert Griffin says the cuts are happening at the Taj Mahal Casino Resort and Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino on the Boardwalk. About 80 of the cuts are seasonal employees who only work during the summer.
The company is also imposing pay cuts on some part-time workers.
Atlantic City's main casino workers' union complained to state labor and political officials on Thursday about Revel Casino Hotel's use of part-timers, saying Revel uses twice the city's average.
