Residents Take To Twitter During Water Main Break

water main break in Northeast Philadelphia has left nearby residents ad businesses without water and significant flooding. The break occurred at Frankford and Torresdale Avenues in the Frankford section of the city. In addition to the immediate neighborhood, the break has impacted thousands of people in surrounding areas and as far as Temple University.

The 60-inch main broke about 9 a.m. Water could be seen bubbling from the ground. Residents in the area complained of no water and took to Twitter to express their concerns. An image of a rafts was tweeted as the Philadelphia Water Department worked to contain the break.
