Suspect arrested in Garden State
A suspect in the rape last month of a 19-year-old Pennsylvania woman was arrested in New Jersey, said Delaware State Police.
Thirty-four-year-old Murat Demirbozan of Rehoboth Beach was arrested by U.S. Marshals on July 14 in Burlington County, N.J.
He was returned to Delaware Tuesday and was being held in lieu of $90,000 secured bail.
The victim told police that she was walking with friends on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach on June 19 when she became involved in a confrontation with a group of other women.
The woman walked away and the next thing she remembered was waking up the next morning at a Rehoboth Beach area home with part of her clothing missing, troopers said.
