Rehoboth Beach Set to Install Smoking Ban Signs

Officials in Rehoboth Beach are set to install signs to enforce the smoking ban set to go into effect in many areas.

Board of Commissioners member Stan Mills says about 170 signs are being made or updated for the new ordinance, which will take effect on May 15.

Smoking will be banned on the boardwalk and in city parks. It will be limited to designated areas on the beach.

Police Chief Keith Banks says his department has been training officers on the new ordinance. Officers will issue warnings for first offenses.
