Registered NJ Sex Offender Tried To Meet Youths: Prosecutors

A registered sex offender faces charges after investigators say he tried to meet and speak with juveniles online.

Ocean County prosecutors say 66-year-old Kenneth Walker, of Surf City, was charged Sunday with possession of child pornography and attempted sexual assault. The charges came after authorities executed a search warrant at Walker's home.

The arrest culminates a joint investigation led by the prosecutor's High Tech Crime Unit and federal Department of Homeland Security agents. But further details on what led to Walker's arrest have not been disclosed.

Walker's bail was set at $200,000 and it wasn't known Sunday if he had retained an attorney.
