RECALL: Trail Mix Pulled from Giant's Shelves

The manufacturer of Nature's Promise Organic Campfire Trail Mix recalled the product because it may contain cashew kernels, an allergen that is not listed on the ingredient labels.

Woodstock Farms Manufacturing issued the recall, which prompted Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets to remove the trail mix from store shelves.

The item is safe for consumers who do not suffer from a cashew allergy, according to a store spokesman.

The product's details: Nature's Promise Organic Campfire Trail Mix, 12 oz., UPC 688267066092, lot #14199 with a best by date of 7/18/2015

Store officials advise customers who purchased this product should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to a Giant or Martin's for a full refund.

The grocery store company has not received any reports of illness.
